Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 Twins Launched
The Interceptor 650 carrying a roadster design and The bikes uses the same dual-cradle, tubular steel frame which has been designed and developed by Harris Performance.
The Interceptor is one of the two models based on the 650cc twin cylinder platform from Royal Enfield. It is the more ‘street bike’ of the two, and has the wider appeal with its retro looks and comfort and the capability to carry a pillion rider as well.
At Rs 2.5 lakhs onward, ex-showroom, the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 competes on this price.
The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 borrow heavily from the original motorcycles of 1960-70s. The bikes are retro in design, underpinned by an all-new frame developed by RE subsidiary Harris Performance in the UK.
The Continental GT 650 is the sportier of the two models based on the 650cc twin cylinder platform from Royal Enfield. It follows the café racer format, and eschews the pillion seat for a better experience for the focused rider.
Royal Enfield launched the Continental GT 650 at a starting price of Rs 2.65 lakh.
